The effect of these chemicals on marble or granite countertops are quite less compared to others, as these countertops are quite durable and resistant to such harsh chemicals.

But don’t think of using it because it may tarnish the surface and this tarnishing effect may be a permanent one. So, my advice is that don’t use rather try an alternative.

Effect On Wooden Countertops

The effect of oven cleaners on wooden countertops is maximum as they can ruin the surface totally because the material is weak and has a transparent coating. It can make the surface sticky or gum-like and also fade the burnish and will look very ugly.

Surely, you can repaint the wooden surface but one thing you can’t get the original glowing or burnish. So, it is highly advisable not to use these chemicals on a wooden surface.
